We are happy to invite you to the annual meeting of the Association of Friends of the Protestant Theological Faculty of Charles University, which will take place in Prague on November 9-11, 2018. The theme of our meeting will be

From Nationalism, Secularization to Environmental Destruction

North Bohemia as showcase of Central European Modern History

There is no other region in the Czech Republic – and probably in Central Europe – where the consequences of the history of the 20^th and 21^st century are as visible as in North Bohemia. Nationalism, communism and wild capitalism left deep traces in the natural and social landscape of the region. The main activity during our meeting will be an excursion to the city of Most.

We have reserved accommodation in the Charles University student dormitory (the participants who need the accommodation will be informed about the address of the dormitory later). The accommodation costs, including breakfast, range between 500 and 600 CZK per night. The Association will contribute toward 50% of this cost.

We would also like to remind those of you who are members of our association not to forget to pay your membership fee (minimum 250 CZK per year or equivalent). If not for these contributions, we would not be able to organize our annual conferences. In case you participate at this year’s meeting, you can pay your membership fee in cash in Prague.
